Why does debbie try to kill sookie

She serves as an antagonist in the third and fourth books. A native Werefox said she was a Lynx in Dead to the World of Mississippi , she was once in a relationship with Alcide. Before the events of Club Dead Debbie would have done anything for Alcide until they broke up and in a rage is engaged to a were-owl but never marries him.

She is also adopted by a Werewolf couple who could not conceive. Despite this, she grew jealous of her ex Alcide's association with Sookie Stackhouse. After Alcide and Eric Northman as well as Bubba helped rescue Sookie's boyfriend from Russell Edgington , Debbie became maniacal and pushes Sookie into a car trunk where Bill is being concealed after Sookie rescues him from being starved and tortured by Lorena Ball who Sookie kills , Debbie intent on killing her.

In Dead to the World , eventually, Debbie and Alcide rebounded. In True Blood, they joined the long tooth pack in Shreveport , Louisiana. This was because Debbie was Werewolf in True Blood, but not in the books. Debbie became resentful once again over Alcide helping Sookie out, which made no sense since SHE had broken up with Alcide and was engaged to the were-owl.

Bill Compton reveals that Debbie was one of the shifters that was torturing him. As Alcide discovered Debbie's betrayal, he abjured her, an action that triggered her to try and kill Sookie once again, during the fighting at the building where the witch war took place.

After that she lie in wait at Sookie's house, and she fired a gun at Sookie, but instead hit Sookie's lover Eric Northman. Sookie automatically grabbed Jason's benelli gun and killed her, much to her distress.

Jason tries to storm out, saying he'll get that fanger, but Sookie takes him to task for being a bigot. He leaves. The next day, Jason is playing with his shotgun and that is not a euphemism , when Crystal shows up at his door, wet all over with a nasty-looking black eye.

She says she swam so they couldn't track her scent. But Jason doesn't pick up on it. Crystal tells him she got beat up because she told her fiance Felton she didn't want to marry him, which pleases Jason.

Except for the beat-up part. They kiss. And then they do more. When Crystal goes into the bathroom to take a shower, Jason grabs the shotgun and leaves. Lafayette ministers to Tara, who won't yet talk about what happened with Franklin. Later, Tara dreams of Franklin and his nasty fangs, and they kiss, then she wakes up. Lafayette's crazy mother Ruby Jean shows up his house, saying the vampires are coming for him.

But it's Jesus who comes by. He makes a few digs about Lafayette's drug dealing, but they're interrupted by Ruby Jean with a knife. Jesus talks her down. Later, Lafayette tells him he's been trying to get out of drug dealing, but he's interrupted by Jesus's lips. Ma Mickens shows up in pitiful dog form at Sam's rental house. Sam makes her pack up her stuff and leave; she says she knows Joe Lee is no good, but she can't help loving him, and she'll always love Tommy.

Then, of course, she asks Sam for some money. Sam, like a fool, gives her a wad of cash, but she has the gall to ask for more. Then she's gone. Sick of this subplot, too. Because there's nothing like a melanoma to cure a broken heart, Sookie is sunning on the lawn. Tara joins her. Sookie is beating herself up for trusting Bill too much, but she seems to be considering going back to him.

Tara calls her crazy and says she's going to wind up dead; that the look in Bill's eyes in the back of the van was just like what she saw in Franklin's eyes: cold and crazy. Tara stomps off, still refusing to talk about what happened with Franklin. Hadley, Sophie-Anne's consort and Sookie's cousin, is demurely tying a black lace robe over her unmentionables and walking down the hallway at Russell's when Eric, bleeding from his ear and his nose?

We don't get to hear that message, but next time we see her, she's at Sookie's back door greeted by Sookie with a shotgun. Hadley doesn't even know that Gran died, like, two seasons ago, and Sookie clearly doesn't know where Hadley has been or with whose company she keeps. Until now. The message from Eric is: Russell is coming for Sookie, and don't trust Bill.

Sookie's like, yeah, right, I'm supposed to trust Eric? As Hadley flees, Sookie catches a snippet from Hadley's mind about how Hadley is so sorry she told them about Sookie. Apparently this has something to do with her visit to the magical spring.

Alcide finds out that Debbie burned down his sister's hair salon. Alcide says he's got to find Debbie before she hurts anyone else, but asks Sookie to find someone to protect her because Russell or the Weres could come back for her. She says Bill will protect her if anyone tries to harm her.

They share a long, lingering hug goodbye and think pretty hard about kissing, but they don't. When Sookie enters the house to clean up Debbie's body. Sookie explains that she wanted to kill Debbie for Tara's murder. Debbie's last appearance is when Sookie picks up pieces of her jaw and drags away her body. Jason Stackhouse and Andy Bellefleur discover Debbie's truck parked a quarter a mile away from the Stackhouse home.

Inside is vampire blood, her drivers license and it is revealed her real name is Deborah and her middle name is Susan. If you look closely you can see a picture of Debbie on her license. Jason empties out the vial of vampire blood. Andy Bellefleur arrives at Merlotte's with a picture of Debbie smiling, presumably after she went sober.

Andy interrogates Sookie and Holly Cleary. Alcide has a flashback when he and Debbie were teenagers. Jackson Herveaux , Alcide's father, questions Debbie if she'll choose between human or pack. Debbie was a werewolf. In wolf form she was more likely more powerful than a human, but weaker than a vampire of a moderate age. In human form however; she can be defeated in a fight- as seen between Debbie and Sookie. Debbie and Sookie strengths were enhanced during the fight due to vampire blood.

In human form she displayed heightened senses and she can make her eyes glow by will or strong emotions. True Blood Wiki Explore. The Show. Photo Galleries. Helping Out. Explore Wikis Community Central. Register Don't have an account?
